Whatsapp sebagai Media Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab pada Masa Pandemic Covid-19

Abstract


The COVID-19 pandemic has made many changes in the world of education. The learning process that is usually carried out in the classroom, now has to be done at home using technology assistance and learning media that are in accordance with the online system (in the network). To support success in the learning process, of course, requires the role of the teacher in selecting relevant media so that the expected goals can be achieved. This study aims to determine how the use of Whatsapp as an Arabic online learning medium at MI Muhammadiyah Sraten Sukoharjo, Central Java during the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research is in the form of qualitative research using descriptive methods. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews and questionnaires. This study obtained the results that the use of Whatsapp as an online learning medium for Arabic during the COVID-19 pandemic was not optimal in the learning process because the material presented was still difficult for students to understand, seen from the data obtained by students in grade 6, totaling 21 students with 21 responders. via google form. It was found that 17 students (81%) chose statements that were sometimes easy to understand, 2 students (9.5%) stated that they were difficult to understand, and 2 students (9.5%) stated that they were easy to understand. So it is very necessary to evaluate the media used by the teacher in the Arabic online learning process.
