Abstract

his study aims to analyze metamorphic sentences found in jazz, pop, and orchestral songs in Indonesia. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the subject of the research being the song Tulus in the song Monochrome. The object of this research is the types of expressions and metamorphic meanings in monochrome songs. "monochrome" is a song that is very popular today, especially among young millennials to the elderly. This song has been widely played both at large-scale concerts, popular movie soundtracks, and the number of views that exceeds 58 million views on the YouTube channel, 288.1 thousand on the resso application. The meaning of the metamorphic sentences in this song contains high solidarity values in the metamorphic sentences which when analyzed have a very deep meaning.
