MESSAGES AND MORAL VALUES IN THE YOWIS BEN MOVIE WORK BAYU EKO MOEKTITO

Abstract

The number of films that have been made by Indonesia there are films that have many good messages and moral values in them. Through the movie “ Yowis Ben†maybe the writer ( Bayu Eko Moektito ) want to make something different _ from comedy genre films _ other. The purpose of the study is for knowledge and to understand messages and moral values contained in the movie Yowis Ben. In the study this use method qualitative, mixed code (code-mixing), and mixed with theory Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotics based on logic, with reasoning through sign. Models are shown own three-element sign main such as representamen, objects, and interpretants. Research results show that the movie Yowis Ben has many messages and moral values contained in it, with this could be concluded that the existing figures and speakers _ in the movie Yowis Ben is the representation of the moral message.
