MORAL VALUES IN THE FILM “FROZEN 2†AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHARACTER EDUCATION

Abstract

Education is a bridge between knowledge and human ignorance, where education must be obtained by every human being as early as possible. In essence, humans are always learning, both for their physical and cognitive development. National character and moral education must be realized in comprehensive national activities to build internal development, national morals as a real manifestation of the unity and integrity of the Indonesian nation. Character formation is generally influenced by the environment or things close to a person. Things that are close to someone are certainly not only in the form of education from humans, they can also come from activities or hobbies. The Walt Disney Company is one of the pioneers in the world of animated cinema. One of the films is entitled "Frozen 2". “Frozen 2†tells the story of two brothers and their friends in search of the truth about a village. The purpose of this study is to analyze the values of character education and moral values contained in the film "Frozen 2". This study used the descriptive qualitative method. Techniques by analyzing, collecting data, describing, and describing an event to be informed to the public. In a film there must be a moral message and character formation, the moral message obtained in the film "Frozen 2" is never giving up, persistence, courage, honesty, cooperation, gratitude in all conditions, and friendship and in this film, we can imitate the character of the players in life.
